Become a Supporter
Supporters
As a supporter you help Australian Invertebrates and gain connections to a network of scientists and science enthusiasts.
Benefits
Support conservation, education and outreach. By joining, members directly contribute to the conservation of Australia’s diverse invertebrate fauna and help fund educational resources for schools and junior supporters. The more supporters we have the more influence we have to lobby for conservation of our invertebrates.
Invitation to join invertebrate field outings across the country. Participate in in-person events such as guided bug walks and light-trap nights, discovering new invertebrates and honing your observation skills.
Invitation to join exclusive supporters webinars. Connect with fellow bug nerds in online events hosted regularly throughout the year.
Receive members-only materials. Each supporter receives a membership card and an Eggpicnic art print featuring Australian invertebrates.
Contribute to conservation and citizen science. Members are encouraged to take part in projects such as the Christmas Beetle Count and Bogong Watch, adding valuable data to research and conservation efforts while enjoying hands-on experiences.
Stay informed. As part of the community, you’ll be among the first to hear about new programs and initiatives. Quarterly newsletters and online resources keep you up to date with research, events and opportunities.
Connect with a network. Membership links you to a community of scientists and citizen scientists who share an interest in invertebrates. Through in-person and online events, you can exchange knowledge, seek advice and build a network to learn more about our incredible invertebrates.
Junior Supporters
For our littlest critters 12 years or younger, joining the
‘Grub Club’
is perfect to get them into Australian invertebrates.

In addition to Supporter benefits, Junior Supporters will receive the following benefits:
Biannual Grub Club packs. Each Grub Club member will receive hard-copy packs, mailed to your door annually. This will include a copy of our membership newsletter as well as other goodies such as: invertebrate-themed toys, exclusive Invertebrates Australia work sheets (colouring in activities, word searches, dot-to-dot etc.), and art prints.
